Piedmont Players Theatre

About Us

Bringing the magic of live theatre to our community through storytelling, education, and artistic excellence.

Our Mission

Piedmont Players Theatre (PPT) is a non-profit community organization in Salisbury, NC, that provides theatrical productions and theatre-arts education to children and adults. The goal of PPT is to make theatre accessible to anyone in the community.

Our Vision

Established with a vision to create a vibrant cultural hub, our theatre has grown from a passionate group of local artists to a cornerstone of the regional arts scene. Over the years, we have produced countless award-winning shows, launched educational programs, and provided a stage for diverse voices to be heard.

Historical Theatre Perspective

61 Years of Community Theatre

With the help of a tremendous amount of generous volunteers and donors, what started out in 1961 as an idea for a “little theater” has grown to become a Salisbury institution. Whether it's our first shows at Knox Junior High School, moving into the restored Meroney Theater in 1995, or opening the all-youth Norvell Theater in 2010—our history is woven into the very fabric of our community.
