Truvy Jones runs a successful beauty salon in Chinquapin, Louisiana, where anybody who is anybody has a standing appointment.

Along with her anxious assistant Annelle, Truvy styles the hair of many prominent women in their community including M’Lynn and he daughter Shelby, the prettiest girl in town. Shelby, whose engagement is the talk of the town begins to have health issues and the community of Chinquapin must come together to heal from grief and tragedy. Showing the true love and strength of human nature this story teaches us how special loving company is in our greatest times of need.

PPT will present a wonderful reimagining of the Southern comedy/drama Steel Magnolias like the 2012 Lifetime film starring Phylicia Rashad, Queen Latifah and Alfre Woodard. We encourage actresses from 18 to 60 plus to audition. The production will be directed by award winning regional director/actress Lillie Oden. Please join us in celebrating this new insightful look at this classic play.
