Former Secret Service agent turned bodyguard, Frank Farmer, is hired to protect Rachel Marron, a famous superstar.

Rachel is used to being the one calling the shots, but she needs Frank’s protection from an unknown stalker. Both Frank and Rachel expect to be in charge; what they don’t expect is to fall in love. This breathtakingly romantic thriller based on the hit 1992 film, features the classic story that you fell in love with in the theaters along with a host of irresistible Whitney Houston classics including“I Will Always Love You.”

Reem Nour

Reem Nour (Rachel Marron) is a Junior Vocal Performance major at UNC Charlotte, where she is also earning her certificate in Musical Theatre. She recently played Brooke Wyndham in UNCCs’ production of Legally Blonde. Other roles she’s enjoyed playing include: Gretchen in Mean Girls, Fiona in Shrek and Rusty in Footloose. She also is part of UNC Charlotte’s Opera Workshop, where she played The Queen of The Night in their production of The Magic Flute. She would like to give special thanks to her professors, teachers, family and friends, who have guided her every step of the way. She is also very excited and grateful to be apart of such an exciting production with an amazing cast and crew.

Leslie Roberts (Nicki Marron) is an elementary music teacher who finds joy in performing and making new friends in the surrounding theater communities. Some of her most memorable roles have been Sarah in Ragtime, Ronnette in Little Shop of Horrors, Sibella in Gentlemen's Guide To Love & Murder, and Camilla in In The Heights. She is so excited for the chance to work with this amazing creative team and for the opportunity to help bring some of the iconic songs of Whitney Houston to the Maroney mainstage! You may have last seen Leslie as Rosie in PPT's production of Bye Bye Birdie back in 2023. She would like to thank her family and friends for their love and support.

Adam Peal

Adam Peal (Frank Farmer) is an actor and professor based in Charlotte. Recent stage credits include Max in The Play That Goes Wrong (Theatre Charlotte), and he can be seen as Carl in the upcoming performance of Lonely Planet (The Emergent Repertory Theatre), and the in the film Silent Retreat (The Emergent). With an appreciation for a variety of types of performances, Adam has appeared in comedic, contemporary, and new works across the east coast, in addition to independent film projects. He is the founding artistic director of The Emergent, a new theater company dedicated to bold, actor-driven storytelling. When he’s not performing, Adam teaches psychology, improv, and research methodology, merging his background in performance and education to help artists and psychology students develop their craft with rigor and authenticity. He is honored to help bring Frank Farmer to life alongside this talented company.

Daren (Sy Spector) is thrilled to be making his Piedmont Players debut. Recent shows - Matthews Playhouse: Bright Star (Mayor Josiah Bobbs). Queen City Concerts: Ragtime (Grandfather), Titanic (Henry Etches), Merrily We Roll Along (Ensemble/Mr. Spencer), The Secret Garden (Lt. Wright), The Flirt Bar (Agent Ronald, in collaboration with Charlotte’s Off Broadway). Theatre Charlotte: The Drowsy Chaperone (Underling), Pippin (King Charles Charlamagne), Something Rotten (Ensemble), and The Wizard of Oz (Zanny Guard/Uncle Henry). Davidson Community Players: Mary Poppins (Mr. George Banks) and 9 to 5 (Ensemble/Bob). Little Theatrical: Need a Little Christmas (Performer). CPCC Summer Theatre: Guys & Dolls (Ensemble). He studies voice at The Schroeder Studio in Charlotte, acting with Guy Olivieri. He studies and performs with Christine Hipsky at Dynamic Ballroom in Cornelius. Offstage, Darren plays the role of Professor Spencer, PhD, CPA as a university business and accounting professor. Special thanks to Marybeth Gorman for dialect coaching. How ya doin? Tony Scibelli here, and I'd like to personally thank you for comin’ to see “The Bodyguard: The Musical”, the show about ME! THE ORIGINAL Bodyguard (don’t tell Farmer I said that, yeah?) Anyways, I'm supposed to tell ya about this guy they had me playin’ me in the show named, Eh... *checks notes* Andrew Monroe! That’s right. Good lookin’ guy... Black guy though. That's interesting. See I’m FBI: Full Blooded Italian. My father's family is Napoli and my mother's is Sicilian. Well, don’t tell nobody this, but my mother’s father is actually an American GI and turns out: he was black! Shout out to Giancarlo (Paisan!) Oh, yeah, I'm supposed to be tellin’ you about Andrew. Uhhh.. Oh, he has a law degree?! And he’s only been acting since 2019? Smart and talented. Boy, they sure know how to pick ‘em. What’s that? *Charlie brown adult talking sounds* alright, I got it. They don’t want me to forget to say “this is Andrew’s 1st show with PPT, but hopefully not his last. You may have seen him earlier this year in the Pulitzer Prize winning “The Hot Wing King” at Hickory Community Theater and “Agatha Christie’s Witness to the Prosecution” at Lee St. Theater.” I think, uh... I think I've said enough. I gotta run anyway. Rachel’s got another photoshoot in an hour. No business like show business, am I right?

Michael Stoudmire (Bill Devaney) is excited to pay tribute to the legendary Whitney Houston in this production of The Bodyguard. He was recently seen in QC Concerts productions of Everybody’s Talking About Jamie (Hugo/Loco Chanelle), Ragtime (Company), and in Hickory Community Theatre’s production of The Color Purple (Harpo). He is an active member of the Charlotte Master Chorale and recently joined them at Carnegie Hall for their performance of Mozart’s Requiem. Bryson Fabian Johnson (Fletcher Marron) is a 11 year old rising 6th grader at Erwin Middle School. He is a honor roll student and served on student council for the past 2 years. He began his journey in the arts 5 years ago at Salisbury Dance Academy where he studies all styles of dance. He has been a member of their competitive dance team for 4 years now earning many awards and accolades such as a 2024 National Solo Champion. His first experience in a play was the Piedmont Players production of "The Music Man". That play inspired him to pursue playing the trombone this school year. Bryson also has his own clothing line ETB which stands for "Everyone's The Best". His favorite mantra is "Success is Yours". Bryson enjoys spending time with his friends and family, playing video games and playing football.

Trinity Taylor (Background Vocalist / Ensemble) is pleased to make her Piedmont Players debut! The actress was most recently seen as Gold in Queen City Concerts’s Wild Party at the Blumenthal Booth Playhouse. Other credits include Jaja’s African Hair Braiding (Jennifer), The Drowsy Chaperone (Trix, the Aviatrix) and Beautiful: A Carole King Musical (Lucille/Shirelle). Trinity is also a mezzo/alto vocalist in Charlotte’s premier a capella group, Queen City Vocals. She works as a North Carolina Realtor serving the Charlotte area and beyond at Keller Williams Ballantyne. Trinity is excited to return to the classroom this August as a kindergarten teacher and kick off a new academic year. She thanks her loved ones for their endless care and support.

Caroline Monroe (Ray Court / Studio Vocalist) is a Kindergarten teacher at North Rowan Elementary School. She graduated from North Rowan High School in 2019, and was a part of the theatre program being in “The Wiz” and “The Lion King Jr.” Most recently, you may have seen Caroline as Doris Walker in Piedmont Players’ production of “Miracle on 34th Street.” Favorite roles of Caroline include Maria in “The Sound of Music”, Miss Honey in “Matilda”, Kylie in “May We All”, and Marty in “Grease”. Caroline is ecstatic to be a part of this musical thriller and hopes that the show has you on the edge of your seat and ready to “dance with somebody.

Taylor Minich

Taylor (Jimmy / Bobby / Dance Ensemble) is excited to take the stage with Piedmont Players Theatre for the first time! He started dancing at the age of 10, training at Next Generation Ballet in Tampa during high school. He danced his way through college while earning a BA in Environmental Biology from Columbia University and a Master of Environmental Management and a Master of Forestry from Duke University. He is grateful to still have opportunities to perform, and even more so to be able to share the stage with his supportive husband, Mitchell. Past credits include Pippin, Something Rotten!, and Drowsy Chaperone (Gangster #2) with Theatre Charlotte; Mary Poppins (Neleus) with Davidson Community Players; and Ragtime with Queen City Concerts. Jada Levereette

Jada (Dance Ensemble), originally from Charlotte, NC, has an extensive 17-year dance background, including competitive dance and focused training at prestigious ballet schools like Charlotte Ballet. She broadened her expertise by training and competing in tap, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary, modern, and lyrical dance. She honed her skills and gained career-shaping knowledge at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC), where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Dance. Beyond her formal training, Jada is deeply involved in her community, volunteering at her church where she founded the "Ark Angels" dance group and serves as Co-Director of the Youth Performing Arts Ministry. She also works as a dance instructor at a local studio, teaching various age groups in both recreational and competitive settings. Driven by a passion for using dance as a tool for empowerment, Jada aims to pursue a career in commercial dance, open her own studio, and integrate her future Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling into her work with dancers.

Angela Stevens (Aerial Performer / Ensemble) is delighted to be flying with this talented cast! She has been training aerial circus for almost 9 years. She trained and taught at Airborn Aerial Fitness in Fayetteville, NC and Bloom Movement Artistry in Charlotte, NC. She also enjoys stilt walking, and founded a local creative reuse center, Upcycle Arts, in Charlotte. Aidan Conway (Dance Ensemble / Aerial Performer) is a rising senior at Central Academy of Technology + Arts (CATA), and is so excited to be in the regional premiere of The Bodyguard. Most recently, Aidan has been seen in The Drowsy Chaperone (Theatre Charlotte), Addams Family (CPCC), and Les Misérables (CATA & Children’s Theatre of Charlotte). Other favorite credits include: Soman Chainani’s: The School for Good and Evil marketing photoshoot as Peter Pan, The Great Comet of 1812 (CATA), recording the vocals for a brand new musical titled Christopher Robin and Pooh as Christopher Robin, and world premiering MCSDC as Javier. Jasmyn (Dance Ensmeble) is very excited for her second performance with Piedmont Players! She is currently a dance major and in the Musical Theatre Certificate Program at UNC Charlotte. Her recent work includes choreographing Grease the Musical at a local high school, being in PPT’s recent production of Music Man as a dance captain and an ensemble member, and being an ensemble member in Legally Blonde the Musical at UNCC. Kaitlyn Bego

Kaitlyn Bego is a senior dance major at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC). A Dean’s List scholar, she was chosen to perform featured roles in each of the modern, jazz, contemporary, and hip-hop productions in the school-sponsored dance concerts in which she appeared. During UNCC’s Fall Dance Concert her sophomore year, Kaitlyn was a featured dancer in a hip-hop production by Robert Green, who performed at the 2025 Grammy Awards and was a backup dancer for pop-icon Taylor Swift and other A-List artists. Kaitlyn was also selected to dance as part of a trio featured at the Mid-Atlantic 2025 American College Dance Association Conference (ACDA) in College Park, Maryland. Kaitlyn has pursued her passion for dance over a 15-year time period. She began her pursuit at the age of six at a Charlotte-based dance studio called Precision Dance, where she received extensive training in jazz, contemporary, lyrical, ballet, tap, heels, and hip-hop, and competed for 10 years. A skilled choreographer, Kaitlyn’s dance compositions are known for their fluid movement and technical soundness and showcase her deep understanding of dance artistry in the creative solos, duets, and group arrangements – particularly in the genres of jazz fusion, jazz funk, hip hop, and even a ballet-hip hop blend. A featured solo piece Kaitlyn choreographed for a former dance competition team member was selected as “Most Creative Jazz Dance Solo.” Kaitlyn is so happy and grateful that she will be able to express her deep passion and love for dance in this theatrical production by Tod A. Kubo.
