Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, a deliciously thrilling story of revenge and retribution.

After 15 years in exile, Sweeney Todd, an unsettling man with a mysterious past, arrives in a dark and gritty London, hungry for vengeance against the judge who destroyed his life. Todd joins forces with Mrs. Lovett, the unhinged proprietress of a failing pie shop, and together they develop a spine tingling plot to exact revenge. When the lights go down and the curtain goes up, you won’t dare look away.

Rob Addison

Rob Addison was last seen in Children’s Theatre of Charlotte’s production of Catching the Moon (Gabby Street) as well as in Shepard Shakespeare’s production of As You Like It (Adam/Fredrick/Jaques).  In multiple seasons with Actors Theatre of Charlotte he was seen in Silence: The Musical (Dr. Lecter), Fun Home (Bruce), The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time (Ed), The 39 Steps (Clown 1) and Fly By Night (McClam). Also seen during five seasons at CPCC Summer Theater in Newsies (Pulitzer), Oliver (Fagin), Young Frankenstein (Kemp/Hermit), Spamalot (Sir Bedevere et. all) and Annie (FDR/ Bert Healy) to name a few.  A Southern California native, Rob holds an MFA from FSU/ Asolo Conservatory and has performed and directed across the country for over twenty years. In addition to numerous regional performing credits, he is currently the Theatre Arts teacher at Clover High School. He is extremely grateful to his entire family for their love and support.

AJ Reid

AJ Reid is honored to be returning to Piedmont Players for a third time, last seen as Elle Woods in 2022. You may have also seen her performing in shows at WCU, Haywood Arts Regional Theatre, and the Trentino Music Festival in Mezzano, Italy. Next up, she will be returning to the stage later this summer as Brooke Wyndam in Legally Blonde at the Green Room! She is currently a junior musical theatre and psychology major with a minor in dance at Western Carolina University. Enjoy the show!

Carolyn is going into her sophomore year at Catawba College, majoring in history and minoring in theatre and psychology. While this is her first time on stage with the Piedmont Players, she has over 10 years of experience performing with her schools and other community theatres. Most recently she was Thea in Spring Awakening at Catawba College, Ellie Blake in Freaky Friday at Mount Pleasant High School, and Chris in The Play That Goes Wrong at Mount Pleasant High School. Gavin Perry Henthorn

Gavin Perry Henthorn (Beadle Bamford) is excited to make his PPT debut after a 16 year hiatus from acting. He received his B.A. in Musical Theatre from Emory & Henry College in association with the Barter Theatre conservatory program. Gavin also studied and performed with the Studio Conservatory program in Washington, D.C. where he portrayed Tom in The Glass Menagerie. Most recently you can find him performing live piano at the White Rabbit Cocktail Parlour here in Salisbury. Gavin would like to thank his wife Jamie and son Dorian for their support in his return to the stage.

Izzy Oyler is excited to be doing her first show for Piedmont Players theatre! She is a current rising senior at the university of North Carolina at Charlotte where she is studying theatre performance with a minor in music and she is apart of the musical theatre program. Some of her favorite credits include Elle Woods in Legally Blonde, Sister Mary Robert in Sister Act, Lily St. Egis in Annie, Cecily Pigeon in The Odd Couple and Bev/Kathy in Clybourne Park! She is a longtime Sondheim fan and is so excited to be doing her first Sondheim show!

Jackson Wagner

Jackson Wagner (Ensemble) is thrilled to be making his PPT debut! He was last seen on stage in Old Courthouse Theater’s production of The Wedding Singer (Ensemble) and his school’s production of Into The Woods (Cinderella’s Prince/The Wolf). Besides stage work, Jackson also does work for Film and TV. In his free time, he can be seen playing guitar, playing video games, or spending time with his friends and family. He would like to thank his parents, his brother, and his girlfriend (the latter two being in this show as well!) Most importantly, he would like to thank his fellow cast and crew for making his dream show everything he’d hoped for!

Jakob Wagner is THRILLED to make his return to a PPT stage! He started his theatre career with PPT back in 2019 and since then has been in countless productions and projects. His favorite roles Include Nick (Something Rotten), Narrator/ Mysterious Man (Into The Woods), and Mike T.V (Willy Wonka Jr!) He is beyond excited to play Tobias (his dream role) in this production! Logan Flaherty is elated to bring his character, Pirelli, to the Meroney Stage. Logan started his journey with PPT by playing Max in Sound of Music in 2022. Since his premier, he has directed two shows for Piedmont Players: Nana’s Naughty Knickers, and The Trial of Goldilocks. Logan looks forward to directing The Wizard of Oz this upcoming fall.

Rylan Lowe

Rylan Lowe is very happy to be a part of this cast. Having performed in many shows such as Into the Woods, Something Rotten!, and Once on this Island. Sweeney Todd is a dream show for him. Having won The Blumey Awards and being a Jimmy Awards semi finalist for his portrayal of Shakespeare in Something Rotten!. He is excited to be back to play the lovable sailor in a terrifying tale.
